What kind of photo works best?
A clear, well-lit photo where your dog is facing the camera — that's it. Phone pics are perfect. Outdoor or window light works best, indoor flash often doesn't.
If your photo isn't ideal, we'll email you within 24 hours so you can send a different one. We never engrave a photo that won't translate well — that's our quality promise.
Will the engraving actually look like my dog?
Yes — that's our specialty. Our artists convert your photo into a detailed line drawing that captures your dog's features: ear shape, eye expression, nose, markings, and personality.
If you scroll up to our customer gallery, every single one started as a regular phone photo. We work especially well with all breeds, including fluffy faces and dark-coated dogs.
Is it real engraving, or is it printed?
Real engraving — your dog's portrait and name are laser-engraved directly into the stainless steel pendant. It's pressed permanently into the metal, not printed, stickered, or painted on top.
That's why it won't fade, peel, or wear off over time. The engraving will look the same on day 1,000 as it does on day 1.
Can I wear it in the shower, pool, or gym?
Yes. Our pendants are made from 316L stainless steel and built for daily wear. They're:
- Waterproof (shower, pool, ocean — all fine)
- Sweat-resistant (gym, hot yoga, anything)
- Hypoallergenic (safe for sensitive skin)
- Tarnish-resistant (won't turn your skin green)
Most of our customers never take theirs off.
What if it doesn't come out the way I hoped?
We make it right. Because each piece is custom-engraved for your dog, we can't accept returns on personalized items — but if there's a quality issue with the engraving or the pendant, we'll remake it free within 60 days. No questions, no fights.
